I wonder if I ever will!!

Thought I would be done with the Mountain Mystery Placemats and Tablerunner, think again!  This is as far as I have gotten! At least I have them layered with batting and backing.  We will be downsizing and moving in the next few months, so that has been constantly on my mind.  Thank goodness, we have our new home, just getting it ready for us to move into.  Trying to wrap my mind around going from a four-bedroom, plus my studio to a three-bedroom, no studio, and figuring out what to do with all the stuff we have accumulated over the years.  Donating and garage/yard sales seem to be two ways of doing it.  Got any suggestions?

Knitting again to keep my hands busy as a passenger when we are driving somewhere.  Since winter is coming I thought a shrug would be a good project.  If you are wondering what that is, it is a shawl with armholes, that way it stays wrapped around you!  So I decided to knit it on the bias or diagonal, but you can read more about it at the tutorial.

Here is another house I need to paint.  This dollhouse was built by my father for me when I was around 4 years old.  I still remember that Christmas!

My daughter asked me if I could fix it up for our granddaughter for this Christmas.  The rooms have been papered and repapered over the years and it is in really sad shape right now.  I have decided that it would be best to simply sand the walls and paint it, rather than trying to find suitable wallpaper.

More Waggly Tails! Erik sent me these pictures, this is his second quilt! He sent me the first picture, which was a practice block, and then the next two followed within a week!  Love it when you share your quilts with me!

  1. Barb it looks as if you have your hands full without getting ready for a move. Downsizing is a wee bit traumatic. 2 years ago we moved from a 3500 sq ft house with a 60’ x 32’ shop to a 650 sq ft apartment so I know of what you speak. These days people are putting free piles at the end of their driveway since most second hand/donation stores are not open. Good luck and thanks for sharing all of your photos of great WIPs and finishes.

  2. If you don’t want to do an in person garage sale, there’s also FB marketplace. Wishing you luck with your move.
