  • Farewell! Good-bye! Adieu!

If you have ever seen the play or movie Sound of Music, the title of this post is from the final song the children sing.

I thought those words would be appropriate for this post, since I will not be blogging on a regular basis.  Family obligations are intervening and my quilting has been put on hold as well, although I am still doing handwork, have to have something to keep my hands busy.  Towards the end of the year, I hope to post pictures of the Floral Alphabet Quilt, the last border is finished, just have to sew it to the quilt and add another plain border, so it will fit our queen size bed.

For the time being, my website will continue and my patterns are available through Payhip, but this is the last free Block of the Month.

It has been a wonderful 22 years of being in touch with quilters from around the world and I will miss that connection, however, life moves on.

    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Most of the blocks this year are based on the theme of the month and no completed quilt is involved.  Use them as a calendar block, pillow, or whatever you decide.  Here is the June Block of the Month.

  1. So sorry to hear you’re retiring, but I’m sure you’re ready!! We may not be, but you have to be true to yourself. I’ve been retired for a few years, and it’s wonderful!!! I love being able to watch the grandsons whenever I want, sew when I want, and ignore my messy house when I want! I hope you enjoy all the fun parts of retirement and none of the bad ones!! 🙂 Blessings!!

  2. Thank you for all the beautiful patterns that you have so generously given. I just came to pickup the July block and was surprised that there was no more. Enjoy your retirement. I hope to get your blocks done.
