Fremontia are a native bush with gorgeous yellow flowers that dot the local hillsides with their butter colored flowers.
The petals are thick and waxy. A very interesting flower. The red dots are the seeds of the plant, and I guess one could add those as beads or embroidery, but I didn’t really want to go into that detail. My appliqued flowers aren’t an exact copy, but my way of looking at them.
