UFO 8-Here a Little…
This summer is ending up busier than I had planned, unfortunately, my UFO’s are taking a back seat because family comes first! Our 12-year-old grand-daughter flew out from San Antonio and then our youngest daughter came to visit with her 3-year-old. It has been a very special time. The interaction between the two girls has been priceless.
Below is a little teaser of My Happy Place Row Along being sponsored and promoted by Marian Pena of Seams to be Sew. It starts on September 1. This is my third year to participate. There are some really great creative rows in the works. Would love to hear from you about your happy place!
It is always so much fun and there is a drawing for prizes, as well. Here are the prizes that I will be offering, five books and five pattern packages. I am not the only one, several other companies are offering prizes. All you have to do is visit the various websites, just leave a comment and you will be entered into the drawing!
These are the fabrics that will be in my row, all from Northcott Fabrics. The tan fabric is leftover from the Christmas row-along. My row is completely paper pieced this year with no appliqué. It would make a nice table-runner as well. So what do you think my Happy Place could be with blue and white fabric?

Almost ready to put the two halves of the Floral Alphabet Quilt together. It will not be fun to appliqué with the whole quilt top in my hands. My own fault, putting those circles on the corners seemed like a good idea at the time, but I think it will help to set each block apart.
Mary H. is outdoing me again here is her latest UFO! What a bright and cheerful quilt. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.
When I first started quilting in the early 1980’s, I didn’t buy yardage, just used 100% cotton sheets, which were called muslin, but came in lots of great colors and patterns. I made this hexagon quilt for my youngest daughter’s twin bed.
However, now it is on a double bed and needs to be wider. I still have all the hexagons I cut out because I intended to make another one for my oldest daughter, but she wanted a different quilt! Ever since I put it on the double bed I have “thought” about enlarging it, so now I am. I only have to add one row on each side and a few at the bottom. These hexagons make great baby quilts too and not hard to make at all.
