I had a tough time deciding what I was going to do for Q since there are very few choices. At first I was thinking of Quercus for oak, but the flower would be very hard to appliqué, yes there are oak flowers; all pollen and not much more. So, Quince, it is!
As I design these flowers, I realize how many are very similar in structure. Most have five petals and some almost the same shape. Probably related in some way depending on the type of plant it is. Very interesting when you get down to the details.
If you are not familiar with this flower or plant, Google “quince images”. You will find many photos of that flower. Quince blossoms are found in many shades of red, from pale pink to deep red.
Here is Mary’s block for March, lovely as usual. She decided that she would replace that little oval with embroidery. What a great touch. Love it when you step outside the box.
Anyone else out there with finished blocks? We would all love to see them and they are an inspiration to others.
If you haven’t downloaded the EQ Blocks of the Month for 2016, I suggest you do so before the end of the month, because that page is going away. Of course, the 2017 blocks will be available until the end of the year.

The EQ link for the April comes up as not being found. Love these blocks.
I haven’t had a chance to design the April EQ block, it will get there, I promise!
