Where has the year gone! I was talking to a friend about this the other day. Time does not go any faster, it is just our perception of it. As usual, Mary H. is keeping up with me. If you have made only one or a few of the blocks, please send pictures. We would all love to see your work, it truly is inspirational to see someone else’s work. If I get a bunch, I will set up a page devoted just to the alphabet blocks.
We had a beautiful white Christmas and here is a Stellar Jay outside my studio window.
January is N, so Nasturtium is the flower for this month. December 2016, will be available for free until the end of January 2017. So don’t forget to download it.

Merry New Year to you and thanks so much for sharing these beautiful blocks. You are a generous appliqué goddess!
Neame
Thank you, I don’t know about being a “goddess,” but I do love appliqué! It has been an interesting journey!
Hi Barbara, Happy New Year! I feel cruddy opening the new year with a whine, but have the EQ files been permanently disabled? I could not get November or December, and now I cannot get January. I have tried Firefox, Explorer and Google and all I have gotten was a link to the jpeg with all of them. I don’t know what else to do. Firefox worked before but no more. Thanks for the beautiful series. Hugs, Carol
You are the second person that has asked about the EQ7 files. It’s me, I am waaaaayyyyy behind. Since I am chief cook and bottlewasher at this website, meaning that I try to keep up the files, design the block of the month, get it stitched, and have a husband who likes to be fed three times a day and visitors over the holidays. I am hoping to be back on track by the end of this month.
Thank you Barbara. I am so sorry to be such a pest. I was so afraid I would miss them permanently. I could not begin to do what you do. Please thank your DH for being so sweet to share you and your precious time and talents with all of us. It is not taken for granted. I promise to be patient from here out. +-) Hugs, Carol
You are not being a pest. I have made this commitment and I need to follow through! It’s just that I get busy with other things and haven’t figured out how to do everything at the same time. Although I must say that the crockpot is very handy! My aunt had a little saying in her hall, “The faster I go, the behinder I get.” Grammarly doesn’t like that word, but that is what it said!
Thanks Barbara. Won’t be starting this one for a while but hope to be done by the end of the month, as usual. Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year to you too! Planning to cut out the flowers and leaves today, for next month’s block. The letter is already in place
