I remembered something that my friend Diane told me several years ago, about splitting the pocket in the back and putting a aluminum can tab in the center of the bar, as a hanger, so you only need one nail to hang a small wall hanging. Thought I would try it. Works beautifully! Because I certainly didn’t want to put another nail hole in our solid wood paneling! The bar didn’t need to be that thick, but it was something my DIY husband had on hand. A 1/4″ thick slat would have worked just as well, but we try and make do around here.
