March 2017 Block of the Month

Glad that I got this month’s block done early, almost done with April’s block! On top of the fact that the pansy flower is perfect for the letter “P”, it is perfect for this month, because with Spring here pansies are popping up in gardens everywhere, and now in quilts.  Besides they are happy flowers, they make me smile whenever I see them, just like dandelions!  Unfortunately, I can’t have them in my garden because they are a delicacy on the critters menu.

Looking at the flowers, you probably wouldn’t think that all the petals came from the same piece of fabric.  That is what I love about batiks.  You can see that I had to do some fussy cutting, but I think it was worth it.

Anyone else out there with finished blocks?  We would all love to see them.  They are always an inspiration to others.
