Just Dreamin’
Challenging 18″x30″ Quilt
This scene of a kitty dreaming at the window was the result of a quilt guild challenge, and it won a blue ribbon. I used printed textured fabrics to emulate the wood and cat, and heighten the effect of a real window. So what is he dreaming about?
Maybe to go outside and dip his paw in the sea or to chase those seagulls. The cat is hand appliquéd.
I love cats, had them all my life and I’m 64 now. Also love lighthouses. Saw almost every one on the East Coast, and dragged my young boys at the time. This pattern is me all the way! Thank you for the design of “Just Dreaming”.
We lost this cat a couple of years ago and every time I walk past this wall-hanging, I pat him!
