Oma’s Cupboard Quilt

If you are wondering who Oma is, that is an informal way of saying Grandmother in German,  like Nana or Grandma.

The piecing gives a dimensional look to the background, in effect a “Trompe-l’oeil”, which is French for an optical illusion.  Those usually have shadows behind the objects on the shelves, but that would get a little complicated.  Maybe that is something that could be added to the quilting.
