Bargello Twist

Intermediate 26″x48″ Quilt

Bargello quilts are made using special strip piecing and cutting techniques inspired by the ancient needlepoint technique.  All those rectangles are not cut individually and sewn together!  It’s very easy sewing together strips and then cutting them various sizes.  Any combination of fabric and color you want to use is available at your local quilt shop!  The layout for Bargello Twist gives depth and movement to this quilt, as the design twists and turns across the quilt, like ribbons blowing in the wind.
